Performance and function:

Connecting anchor and anchor chain: one end of the end link is connected to the anchor, and the other end is connected to the anchor chain.


As a special reinforced chain link, its diameter is 1.2 times larger than ordinary chain links and is used at the end of anchor chains or chain links. When the two ends of the anchor chain are connected by connecting shackles, the terminal link is attached to the end of the anchor chain, which together with the enlarged chain link plays the role of adjustment and transition, and also facilitates the installation and removal of the connecting shackle. The end link is usually a short unbarred link, but in some cases may be a long barred link. The diameter of the end link is 1.2 times the diameter of the ordinary link, and its length and width are approximately 6.75 times (8.5 times for long links) and 4 times the cross-sectional diameter, respectively.


The end link is the last link on the chain abandonment device or the unhooked chain section in the anchor chain cabin. The end links are otherwise similar to anchor end links, except that they do not have an end shackle, which allows them to be easily used interchangeably.


Withstand tensile force: When anchored, the end link needs to withstand all the tensile force from the anchor chain, so it must be strong enough to prevent breakage.
